This gist is coming late, but I hope we can have fun with the THREAD.
2016 CHAN in Rwanda. Recap of the things that happened behind the scenes.
I took my time to search for pictures as well.
It was the second time Super Eagles B (NPFL Stars) will qualify for the tournament.

@PowerfulFJ, I wish to make the gist short
.
I missed 2014 CHAN in South Africa & this tournament was all my dream in 2016.
As journalist (Reporter like me), coverage of live football events was all my passion.
It was difficult securing sponsors, but I made it & I was happy

I was thinking about the dragging, how 'Enemies' would drag me & my NPFL players like Tiger Generator.
You know the argument about Home-based vs Foreign Pros.
It was a rough week, we have to defend & defend them
The feeling at home is always different from those with the team.

Oliseh said a lot of unprinted words with anger. It was a big distraction.
Toyin & Tijani Babaginda was able to calm down Foskolo. We for see fight
They begged us not to use the audio at least before the game. We agreed & decided not to distract the team. Was it ethical?

I don't want to share how I wasted 10,000 Rwanda Franc on cab searching for the accommodation I booked from Nigeria. The experience wasn't funny
, JJC in abroad. I settled at one hotel around 9pm, after searching for hours. The night wasn't smooth, I don't have Internet as well

The next day, Super Eagles arrived from South Africa. The players, coaches & backroom staff were surprised to see a Nigerian journalist in Kigali. It was all smile & confidence, their fada, we go kill them for this tournament
.
Oliseh noticed me & we had a brief chat.

Oliseh was accomodative, I had a changed of perspective about him.
Oh! This guy is nice. Oliseh has changed & matured.
He granted his first interview with us, you will like him, brilliant guy, he speaks well.
Oliseh to Toyin; "Invite the guys to join us for lunch." Wawu!

Interestingly, I was the first Nigerian to arrived in Kigali, Rwanda. I arrived before the team contingent. The team camped in Abuja for one month, camped for weeks in South Africa.
A lot of investment on the team, Oliseh was the coach. So, I was hopeful, we should win

The team left for their hotel. Where I go to sleep now? I didn't enjoy last night's hotel.
I met a Nigerian lady based in Rwanda, can't recall her name now. She was helpful & kind to us. She took me to a comfortable hotel which was a few metres away from the airport.
