If you’re wondering why Zoom is exhausting, it’s because you’re spending long stretches staring directly at someone who you’re not generally that close to. It’s hyper-intimacy without the chemical reward of actually being in someone’s presence. It’s okay to feel tired.
They’ve done studies on this. There aren’t a lot of great ways to remedy it, other than to consider using other resources for courses or meetings.
