Okay time to debunk this:

First line about the Koch Brothers

- The publisher is partnered with Koch Media, NOT Koch Brothers
- Koch Media was founded in 1994 by Franz Koch in Germany
- It’s distributed games like Guild Wars

“The makers of Cooking Mama don’t know shit about it”

- Office Create, the original creators of Cooking Mama, are credited throughout the game based on videos of people with copies
- See this article from August for the attached screenshot: https://www.psu.com/news/cooking-mama-cookstar-rated-for-ps4-in-australia-and-germany/
The press release DOES state it has blockchain based DRM.

- This was removed from the final version of the game
- Blockchain =/= cryptocurrency
- Blockchain is a theory of transparent stock management
“The headquarters of the publisher of Cooking Mama: Cookstar is a house in Connecticut”

- Okay so this person wants you to think it’s both published by the Koch Brothers and just a house in Connecticut
- According to their LinkedIn, Planet Entertainment LLC is based in Australia
“It won’t launch unless online”

- There are numerous reports of launching and playing offline
- The battery issue was noticed by people playing in airplane mode
“It’s over in half an hour”

- There are video playthroughs online showing more than a half an hour of gameplay
FINALLY, the battery issue

- Looks like a sloppy removal of the DRM
- Yeah. That’s it.
Just remembered the part about stealing personal info. This, again, seems to be conjecture.

I doubt Nintendo would have let that fly.
