greetings from the online Tarot class I'm taking where they're drawing connections to the transtheoretical/stages of change model of behavior change and it's blowing my MIND
/cut to: i get mad hopped up on caffeine and write an entire book about filtering Tarot through social cognitive theory
aah I'm also seeing connections and similarities to stuff like the teachback method and patient-centered medical homes and aaaah
sometimes it's like "brain could you just stop whirring for 5 minutes" and other times it's like "no, never stop, all the cross pollination, all the connections, yes, yes"
Aah! Fuck! They namechecked Albert Bandura! Social cognitive theory in the house all y'allll!
thank you past me for buying that very cool looking book on narrative medicine but I sure wish you hadn't brought it into the office right before everything went work-from-home
I can see so many connections and so much overlap between this approach to Tarot and motivational interviewing: https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/therapy-types/motivational-interviewing
Let me cap off this thread with a plug for the course: It’s @thejessicadore’s Tarot Skills class! There’s a self-paced version but I took the live one and I liked it better!
