1 like = 1 rapper from my top 50
50. aight starting things off at number 50 we got newly debuted Jay Electronica
at number 49 we got the one and only Killer Mike.
Standout song of his is the song, Reagan
48 and this might be a hot take to some but I actually rate him that highly, its Eminem's associate Royce Da 5'9. His solo projects are meh, but he is insanely skilful and his work with DJ Premier is very much worth checking out
47th place is reserved for my favourite homophobe, Vinnie Paz. Insane nutcase conspiracy theorist. Possibly the only one on this list who went on Rogan. His voice is extremely recognisable and his skill is unquestionable
46 wait, DMX is also a homophobe. Well then he is my favourite homophobe, sorry.
45.
I am not sorry for doing this. I do actually believe that the highlights of his career grant him 45th place in this list
44
One half of outkast, Big Boi, excels at being a good sidekick to Andre (I suppose that spoils his placement on this list)
43 the first deceased person on this list. Eyedea, 1 half of the duo Eyedea and Abilities, with the highlight of his career being the album By the Throat, a really esoteric album that you should all check out
42 Mr Lif made a really good album that nobody has listened to (I Phantom)

Its a 10/10. That album is the only reason he is on the list
41 Tyler the creator
his producing skills are becoming more and more dominant in his work. Overall he is an extremely talented and creative guy, I look forward to his next project. Since 2015 he has developed matured and flourished as an artist its truly inspiring
40 Open Mike Eagle seems like an extremely philosophical judging by his music, which is always really thought provoking, and conscious. I think that he still hasnt unleashed his true potential though
39.
Milo, AKA RAP Ferreira, AKA Black Orpheus, AKA the cuarteroy cuprint, aka Scallops Hotel, AKA Roy Perreira.
He is a dude that has a lot of similarities with Open Mike Eagle. His music is more interesting to me though, because it feels more idk how to say it, more alive?
38 Elucid
He is one half of the duo Armand Hammer. His lyrics are kind of overshadowed by his great delivery but should not be overlooked. My favourite verse of his is on the armand hammer track "No Days Off" which is one of my favourite verses of all time
37
Slug is my spirit animal. He is one half of Atmosphere. His music nowadays is extremely hit or miss (more misses than hits :/).
The atmosphere album god loves ugly and his participation on Deep Puddle Dynamics, along with his personality grant him this spot on the list
36 "It's like this, I'ma start from the top
Inspectah Deck, he's like
He's like that dude that'll sit back and watch you
Play yourself and all that, right?
And see you sit there and know you lyin'
And he'll take you to court after that
'Cause he the Inspectah"
35. This mf was giving Ls before it was cool!
Big L was tragically murdered in 1999. What seemed like a really promising career was cut short, nobody knows what we would have seen from this guy. His record "lifestylez ov da poor and dangerous" is an absolute classic
34 "And and, the RZA
He the sharpest motherfucka in the whole Clan
He always on point, razor sharp
With the beats, with the rhymes, whatever, any DJ"

The mastermind behind Wu Tang and the gravediggaz. unfortunately I cant write an article about him. He is a producer who raps
-yet he still ranks that highly, thats crazy
33. Doseone is definitely the most unique and eccentric rapper on this list. His delivery is, just, out of this world. He has participated in so many projects (Clouddead Deep Puddle Dynamics, Themselves and many others). He is most known because of Clouddead a good starting point
32. Del The funky homosapien
you probably know him because of that Gorillaz Verse (which is a really good verse to be fair) on that Clint Eastwood song. He also has an amazing solo career, as well as participation in many other noteworthy acts (hieroglyphics, deltron 3000)
31 YUCK
30
I am not the biggest fan of his lyrical content, but Biggie definitely deserves no less than at least a spot on my top 30, because of his game changing flows, and rhyme schemes
29.
Common is just, like, really good
28. Black Thought certainly gets the no. 1 spot for the best beard in the rap game.

He was also in Roots. One of the best hip hop groups of all time.
27. Talib Kweli is one half of Black Star which has dropped a top 10 hip hop album and he has a few noteable entries in his solo discography, and also he is very good
26. Kool G Rap is like the dad of dad rap. He is the guy who only dads listen to. I am not a dad but I really, REALLY like him. His work alongside DJ Polo is some of the best hip hop that exists.
25
when Ice Cube left NWA the attitude left the group as somebody has famously said i dont remember who it was.

he WAS the NWA, even though he was by far the youngest member. He also went on to have a very successful solo career full of classics
24
"And and, then we got, then we got the Ol' Dirty Bastard
'Cause there ain't no father to his style
That's why he the Ol' Dirty Bastard"

The most eccentric Wu Tang Clan members. His delivery and lyrical content was something else. He died in 2004 and he is beyond missed
23. I hate it when rappers DIE

Phife Dawg died 4 years ago (holy shit its been 4 years already)
his legacy is something else dude. Imagine being a member of the tribe called quest!
His chemistry with Q Tip is one of the best chemistries between rap duos in the game
22. Every time I think that this guy cant amaze me anymore, he just sorta does it again.
Danny Brown is the best rapper to come out of Detroit.
His eccentricity, his out of this world delivery and his production make him truly stand out
21.
Yup, Madlib's persona, Quasimoto will really make this list, above all of those aforementioned legends
I rank him that highly, and I do that because, all three of his LPs under that name feature the Madlib production that we all love and the lyrical content is also that great
20.
Slick Rick, well known for his story telling abilities, his one eye, and his ability to stay away from the public eye (no pun intended
He debuted extremely early on in the game, and hasnt made music in a long time. He impressed in that Mos Def feature in 2009.
19. Guru from Gang Starr, had one of the most recognisable flows in the game. His chemistry with DJ Premier is also worth talking about. DJ Premier knew exactly how to construct a beat so that Guru would rap over it. He knew when an instrumental was destined for him
RIP :(
18. Masta Ace
Another underappreciated legend who has been doing it since forever. The most impressive thing about him is that he is still doing it, very well too. He is the quintessential underground dad rap.
17.
The only billionaire on this list. Jay Z has rarely disappointed. He has dropped classic on top of classic and he is still on the top of his game even though he is 50.
16. Little is known about Billy Woods. We know that he lived in Zimbabwe for a lot of time, that his father was a marxist revolutionary, and that he is based in new york
He is the most cryptic rapper I know, the concepts of his lps are always interesting and im always excited
15. Freddie Gibbs aka Gangsta Kane, is performance wise, the best rapper in the world at the moment. I personally cant rap along to many of his songs no matter how hard I try. His collaborations with Madlib are what you should start with, and you definitely should
14. Prodigy
😰😰😰😰
he had to leave us didnt he?
I dont even know where to begin with him, he is just one of the best to ever do it. The Infamous, the entire album slaps so hard, and the fact that he was younger than me triggers my insecurities
13. The other half of Outkast. One of the best live performers ever, if not the best . His verse on Aquemini is just orgasmic. His rhyme schemes are out of this world.
12. Q Tip was basically the front man of ATCQ, which I talked about earlier, but he also managed to have quite a few other succesful solo projects. This combination, along with his producing skills make him land this high on the list
11. Mos Def, or Yasiin Bey as he goes by nowadays, is not only one of the best rappers to walk this planet, he is also an activist, and an actor.
His collaboration with Talib Kweli is the best thing he has ever done, but Black On Both sides is equivalently good.
10. Would have never guessed that this mf would make my top 10. Earl has flourished a lot since his odd future days. With every project he impresses me. However it wasnt until Some Rap Songs that he became one of my favourites. that album has forever changed my life
9. This guy, Rakim, came in the game in the mid 80s and changed EVERYTHING. Once he touched the mic, everyone started trying to sound like him. He is the most influential rapper to ever do it, his rhyme schemes and ideas he presented for the first time cannot be understated
8
"And the GZA, the G is just the Genius
He, he's the backbone of the whole shit"

He truly is, a genius, lol. His vocabulary is immense, his skill and the comfort with which he is rapping is just the best, the lore around his character is the most interesting one in the wu tang
7. Kendrick Lamar being in 7th place is probably a hot take because people would like me to put him even higher AND THAT SAYS A FUCKING LOT lmfao. He is undoubtedly, and for a very good reason in the GOAT conversation. TPAB is the most influential album of the 2010s.
6 "And Shallah Raekwon, he the Chef
He cookin' up some marvelous shit to get your mouth waterin'
On some "oh shit""
Raekwon's verse on CREAM and the 7th Chamber made a skinny geek with an awkward mustache feel a little rebellious in his middle school years (ye thats me)
5. Nas has the curse of being recognised only for Illmatic. It is by far his best and most influential work. It was a debut that was extremely hyped in the scene, before its release, and that was in the 90's were internet promotion wasnt a thing. Lost tapes comes 2nd imo
4. "Ghostface Killah, you know what I'm sayin'?
He on some "now you see me, now you don't"
Know what I'm sayin'? "

He wasnt originally my favourite wu tang member, but listening to his solo career made sure that this changed. He is definitely the most talented member lyrically
3
only recently did I realise how much I love this guy's music. He is rapping with an ease that is just, unmatched. I cannot possibly get tired of Scarface's music. I wish him a quick recovery from this shitty virus that has been annoying us all lately
2.
MF DOOM. Hip hop's supervillain. I could be talking about this guy for hours. He is unpredictable, just like a villain would be. You don't know when to expect new music from the guy, and simply, you don't know what its going to be like. DONT HAVE ENOUGH CHARACTERS TO TALK
1. to the surprise of nobody, Aesop Rock takes first place. His vocabulary is literally unmatched, like, actually, this has been calculated he has the richest vocabulary in music! The themes he is talking about are always so cryptic, you need to pause the song to look them over
some notable absences:

Kanye West: I see him more as a producer and less like a rapper
MC Ride: I see him more as the front man of an obscure punk band and less like a rapper
Method Man: He simply didnt make it
Trap artists: Im kind of a boomer sorry
could have used some Denzel Curry. Personally I was imressed by Imperial and Unlocked. Ta13oo not so much
Thats why he didnt make the list

Also female rappers. Little Simz, NoName, Lauryn Hill are all great
