My partner and I put optimism aside and openly contemplated what might happen if we did contract #COVID_19, one or both of had to be hospitalized, or worse...one or both of us died (1/4)
It was a scary conversation. But it motivated us to make a plan to ensure our child (and our pet) will be well cared for if we're both hospitalized. (2/4)
We also made sure that our wills and insurance policies were up-to-date. We're currently making lists of things that would have to be dealt with in our home. (3/4)
Finally, we told each other how deeply we love one another and how much we cherish the relationship we've built.

In times like these, maintaining my optimism is critical. But pessimism also has a constructive role to play in life. (4/4)
