I didn't see the live chat, but I am going to take your word for it that Paras was shocked about his character's death. But that doesn't mean that it wasn't pre-planned. Maybe he found out during that scene, but I think the writers always planned it that way.

There are reasons why #Beyhadh2 is a finite series:
You can't extend this kind of storyline, this isn't saas bahu or Taarak Mehta kind of show.
If they wanted to extend, they could've capitalised on #MayaXMJ and #MayRa, which were huge online TRP gaining tracks.

But instead, they risked a huge online TRP blow by showing the Rishi's death revelation track. We all knew that it would decrease the #MayRa screen space, half the reason people are watching the show. They are telling a linear story, regardless of the numbers.

The writers, so far have written a linear story for the show and as far as I can see, they aren't going to extend it as they wouldn't want to butcher it. They can't have a repeat of #beyhadh, which lost the plot in the end, just because of unnecessary extentions.

@jenwinget only signed up for the show because it was a finite series. She indirectly said that much in the letter she wrote on twitter. Even @SonyTV wrote the #Beyhadh2 will end naturally. So there is no point in extending the show.

I'm not saying that the memory loss track worked, far from it. It was the only track so far that didn't make sense. All it did was drastically reduce Rudra & MJ's screen time and kill off two fan favourite characters, Rajeev and Nandini.

It didn't help that Vikram got more screen space than the actual male leads of the show, and the situation only got worse due to the then impending lockdown. But not all story tracks can be winners and this one certainly wasn't.

Which is why we need to be patient with this track. Something tells me Vikram isn't going to stick around for long. We just need to wait a long while.

Ankit lied in this interview about his character being the anti-hero, but as we know now, he is a straight up villian. But that's nothing new, actors in this show have lied before about their characters so that the story doesn't get spoiled due to spoilers.

But he has no reason to lie about the pre-planned end of the show. Just because the writers and producers pre-planned the end, doesn't mean the actors know about it. At most, @jenwinget maybe knows how her character's story ends, & even that's a very big maybe.
