I am sick of the drama tied to the OSR.

You got two factions (& outsiders) sniping at each other & trying to push out the other as either being “problematic” or “SJWs”.

I like the diversity of the creators in the OSR whether they identify as left or right wing.

I don’t care if you are a leftist or right winger (I do NOT include Nazis in my definition - so don’t go there!) I only care if you create fun & engaging content.

We used to be able to hang out & coexist no matter our differences.

Now ideological puritans on both sides...

... want to gatekeep and cancel each other over their personal ideologies.

I just want to have fun and escape from the bullshit in my daily life. Be it with a book, film, comic, video game, ttrpg or war game.

But Twitter rage mobs on both sides and insane identity...

... politics are making our hobbies toxic battlegrounds. I am sick of it.

If you are using a hobby to push a ideological agenda you can fuck off! You should be excluded from the hobby.

Make the content you want and promote it but leave other creators and fans alone.

I wish that the OSR could get back to being the diverse creative space I fell in love w/.

Until that can happen I will not refer to myself as a OSR advocate or potential creator.

I will label myself a Old School Adventure Gamer & Old School D&D Zealot going forward.
