Thread | Importance of staying calm and looking sharp in difficult times for entrepreneurs. I will share some of the most messed situations I faced as an entrepreneur and how we survived by just staying calm and re-strategizing. #COVID19 #GrowthInTheCrisis
@SparkSahara | 2 weeks before @SparkSahara 2016 we had only 2000 USD in the bank account and we wanted to do an event of 60000 USD
All the guests & speakers were already invited, the venue was confirmed and we signed contracts with the all the vendors. Somehow we survived

Africa Business Idea Cup | 14 days before the event. The situation is so messed up. We donât have the venue, the speakers, the attendees, we had nothing. The client had paid 60K USD for us to pull together the event. We didnât have the capital but somehow we survived.

http://Africa.SDGs.Photos | We wanted to do something small. We were pushed to do something big before a strategic pulled out. We stayed calm and found a way out.
Donât ask how.

Sahara Sparks 2018 | After the event we realized we made a loss of more than 50K USD plus. We were still smiling and shaking hands

The big lesson here is that shit happens. You have to put yourself together. Donât social media your problems solve them. There is a lot behind these beautiful smiling faces you see online. Running a business is not a game is not a joke. Get yourself together.
You always need to get back up when sometimes everyone is trying to pull you down. You can read all the books you want but reality is a bit.. and death is her sister. Nobody will give you money because they like you. You need to earn it by constantly delivering value.
