Duncan Lemp

A thread. And my personal belief on what exactly happened, based on evidence vs "Official" statements.

Take as you will.
21 Year old Duncan Lemp was sleeping peacefully in his bedroom, alongside his girlfriend. They had gone to bed, thinking, feeling and under the impression that absolutely nothing was different, or going to happen the next morning.

Montgomery County SWAT had other plans.
MCPD received an "anonymous tip" about Lemp being illegally in possession of firearms. According to them, a *sealed* juvenile court document stated that Lemp was banned from owning firearms until the age of 30

MCPD refuses to release exactly what the conviction was.
Using this "anonymous tip", rumored to have been turned in by a known party that was known for harassing Mr. Lemp over his interest in decentralized defense, tech and currency, MCPD executed a No-Knock "High Risk" warrant for Lemps Arrest.

On little more than a complaint
MCPD came to the dwelling of Lemp, his parents and 19 year old Brother, armed and armored up for "any scenario".

A currently unnamed officer took point outside of Lemps bedroom window, along with several other officers at different exit points.

Officer throws a flashbang.
The flashbang lands and goes off, awakening Lemp and his Girlfriend in a startling flash and fireworks show.

Lemp grabs his rifle, assuming someone is attempting to harm he, his -pregnant- girlfriend and his family. This, by all means, is a justified reaction in any scenario.
Upon seeing Lemp grab a rifle, officers, through their usual lightning paced actions and training, give Lemp a single warning, likely not properly identifying themselves to a disoriented Duncan - thanks to their M84 Flashbang mere moments earlier.

They don& #39;t see Lemp comply
The officer in question then fires several automatic shots through the window. In doing so, they strike Lemp, who falls at the foot of his interior door, along with his girlfriend, whom has been in bed terrified the entire time.

To them, necessary collateral damage.
MCPD SWAT then forces their way into the Lemp dwelling, but not before being warned by "The Other Occupant", whom they had just shot, about a tripwire device.

Media and Police say it was meant to harm intruders.

In reality, it was likely a shotgun shell signal trap.
Its a commonly sold device often used for camping and perimeter security. Because the Police and authorities are, generally, stupid (and are looking for any way they can paint themselves as justified in this), they likely believed this to be a lethal booby trap

Not the case
After entering the room, police seize 5 firearms

- 2 P80 Frame Glocks
- 1 Springfield Armory AR15
- 1 E.A. J-15
- 1 IWI Tavor Bullpup

They characterize these as "illegally possessed". Police still refuse to release the conviction in question publicly despite multiple requests
Another note is how Mr. Lemps girlfriend and Family were treated as a result of this.

The SWAT team, hyped on adrenaline and anger, had forced every one of the individuals in question onto their knees (supposedly) for rapid detainment, and had treated everyone with hostility
I have also watched the Department, on 3 separate occasions now, release alternate versions of their timeline of events. Major inconsistencies and lack of evidence on their part have led me to give the Lemps and his girlfriend the benefit of the doubt here.
This is the second time, over a year period in Maryland, where I have had to see someone presented with a warrant or red flag, who otherwise had no previous criminal convictions known, who have been executed for simply owning arms for self-defense.

Yes
Executed.
I think our community knows this already, but in case this does reach other eyes - and I hope it does - I want those people to know.

This is what Red Flags do. They execute good people. For doing nothing. Nothing but living and exercising their rights.
To @mcpnews

I do sincerely hope you do the right thing and allow a proper murder trial to go through against this officer, and any, who participated in this. I doubt you will though.

History is not kind to the tyrannical, and justice comes to all evil eventually.
As said, take this as you will.

Long live Duncan Lemp

Never let him be forgotten.
