There are many reasons why capitalist propaganda works so well on Americans. We’ve always have state media disguised under the cloak of “free enterprise” news corporations. A key function of this is duping the proletariat into thinking it shares the priorities of the bourgeoisie.

Twitter is not some utopian medium either. Spies lurk all over the place and there are lines you can’t cross. But its company valuation still relies on hosting as many high-traffic users as possible, and socialist thinking is incredibly popular. So they’re in a bind.
