This is a common misconception. Doctors should discuss DNACPR with patients wherever possible, but the decision rests with doctors.

And patients aren& #39;t asked to sign a form as many seem to believe.
I never frame these discussions as asking patients or family if they would or wouldn& #39;t want resuscitation. It& #39;s wrong to put them in that position.
