I am making a THREAD where we get to decide what country has the coolest most unique name ever!!! join 204 countries, some recognized, some unrecognized, in an epic battle to see who is the bestest ever! here are your contenders! it's like ABCDEFG but with countries!!

ROUND 1 - The best country name has to be one that is short and not too wordy, one that can be easily remembered! Countries in red are disqualified if their names are too long, or if they have two or more words.

ROUND 2 - Too many countries have names that end in the letter A or are suffixed with –stan, as well as –land(s)! They must go at once!

ROUND 2.5 - I feel like Guinea-Bissau and Timor-Leste are cheating. They’re kinda two words. Let’s just get rid of them now.

ROUND 3 - Relatively speaking, we’ve got some more long ones again! Let’s make the rules stricter this time – You can only have 7 letters and 3 syllables at the most.

ROUND 4 - Vowels and the letter Y are boring. Countries that end with vowels or the letter Y must bid farewell! Also, Iran and Iraq sound way too similar. They go too.

ROUND 5 - Here, we strive for uniqueness. Countries that share a beginning letter (B, C, E, J, L, N, S) must go!

ROUND 6 - fuck israel

ROUND 7 - Again… we strive for uniqueness. If your name shares an end letter with another country, (N, R) get out!

ROUND 8 - We are down to our final four! So unique! So stunning! This is the part where you get to decide! Cast your vote in the poll below!
