[A Thread]
An overview on Eduardo Camavinga.

Camavinga was born in Miconge, Angola on the 10th of November 2002 (age 17). He moved to France at a very young age, and has chose to represent France internationally.
Cama started his footballing career at Drapeau-Fougères at age 6, by age 11 he was apart of their youth set up and well on path to making his way to the first team.

Instead, in 2013 he made the move to Rennais.
Throughout Cama’s youth career at Rennais he was often praised for his versatility and ability to play in so many different positions which is rare to see in a player so young.

Cama signed his first pro contract at age 16, the youngest player to do so in the clubs history.
Camavinga continued to impress after several cameos off the bench which warranted in his first start against Monaco where he played for around 60 minutes before coming off.

With this start, he became the first player born after 2002 to start a game in Europe’s top 5 leagues.
Cama started in Rennais’ first league game of the 19/20 season against Montpellier.

In this game, Cama won 63% of his duels and only miss passing 1 of his 41 passes.
Camavinga has scouts from Tottenham, Arsenal, Man City & PSG that have all been closely monitoring him for over a year now.
Cama’s breakout game has to be in Rennais’ 2-1 win over PSG in August 2019, where he controlled the game very well, registered a very impressive assist, completed 97.6% of his passes & won 10 out of 16 duels.
Now in 19/20, Camavinga is a regular starter for Rennais and is also seen as one of their most important players.

Cama’s ability to dictate and control a game at the age of 17 is remarkable, his creativity is also very impressive, especially for a DM.
People have been saying that the position ‘Deep Lying Playmaker’ is dying out in today’s game but Cama has definitely kept the faith if no one else has.
In Ligue 1, Cama averages 4.2 tackles per game, more than anyone else in the whole league.
