This is a reminder that you are NOT obligated to please your mutuals. You're the NOT disappointing anyone by taking a break. Twitter DOESN'T own you.

Rememeber that the priority is YOU, not Twitter.
In the few months I've been using what one might call stan twitter I've noticed a lot of things.

The one that makes me the saddest is how people know this app makes them feel bad, and yet use it anyway.
Twitter knows how to be draining, so it becomes draining.

And sure, it's tempting, but it doesn't own us, and it's up to us to maintain a healthy relationship with it, and social media in general.
I'm not saying that people should deactivate just because.

But it's so important to take care of ourselves, especially during this time where there's literally nothing holding us back from our devices.
You need time to disconnect. You NEED that.

Set some boundaries and follow them, and I promise, your experience on Twitter will be much more enjoyable the moment you learn how to use it healthily.
