Bangalore-based startup @Bioneventures is selling "at-home" COVID-19 rapid antibody screening tests for Rs2500 on its website. AIDAN has raised concerns to @CDSCO_INDIA_INF @ICMRDELHI about direct-to-consumer marketing of test kits & to investigate this

Bione also sells 2 COVID kits with misleading claims:

MyMicrobiome (Rs15,000) to analyse microorganisms in the gut, recommended for high risk (elderly, diabetes, obesity,hypertension)

Genetic Susceptibility kit(Rs8000) to detect gene variants that make one susceptible to COVID

We repeated request to @CDSCO_INDIA_INF to make public a regularly updated list of all approved COVID-19 kits approved, alongwith basis of approval for each test kit (US FDA/CE-IVD, ICMR validation etc) @drharshvardhan @MoHFW_INDIA @ProfBhargava @icmr_niv @Pharmadept @nppa_india
