A few numbers: I am a @BBSRC funded PhD student; 4 years including:
- 1.5 months inductions
- 6 months lab rotations
- 3 months industrial placement
Leaving me with roughly three years to produce a thesis.
Minus lockdown time. (2-3 months?)

Minus time that will be required to reopen the lab after donating all supplies to the Public Health England (another 2-3 months?).
PIs of @AcademicChatter - is it realistic to expect a complete thesis in STEM in 2.5 years?
