I think the actual lesson of the pandemic might be learning the fundamental limitations of technology-intermediated interactions.
For every person having a remote working epiphany, there& #39;s another person who desperately misses going into the office.

For all of the fun Zoom hangouts, there& #39;s a lot of heartache about missed family dinners and casual drinks at the bar.
It& #39;s actually painful and undesirable to only connect through screens. It& #39;s better than nothing, but it& #39;s no substitute for the real thing.
