A couple of days ago, I got this new gold photo as a free gasha pull while playing #cardcaptorsakura #カードキャプターさくら Happiness Memories mobile game & it made me want to share a few things about the meaning of baking pancakes in the Kinomoto household

On October 1st, 2018, NHK Etele aired a TV cooking program called “Gretel no kamado” (Gretel’s cooking stove) which featured Sakura’s pancakes.
It told us a “secret” story about Sakura’s pancakes written by CLAMP's Ohkawa!!

Sakura explains that in her family, when they want to express to someone that they support them & to do their best, they make pancakes for them!

In the Kinomoto household, pancakes are for special occasions for a special someone & Sakura was making those pancakes for Syaoran

This precious family tradition came up again in the exclusive oneshot that came together with the #cardcaptorsakura #カードキャプターさくら Clear Card BluRay vol8, in which we see Sakura baking & bringing those pancakes to Syaoran!

We also see Nadeshiko baking the pancakes infusing all the love she has for the person she cherishes, she wants to express "Eat this and feel better” & “Be happy”
Touya is troubled bcs Sakura made them for someone other than family
