I’d rather be mocked for being who I am than fiercely applauded for being something I’m not.

I can say without a doubt after seeking external validation for 25 years to fill a gap that it’s a hollow echo without the inner peace, self-love, and self-respect transition offered me.

Trans cliches that are cliches for a reason:

-transition saves lives
-existing authentically is priceless
-transition is an act of love
-transition is for US, no one else
-you’re never too old to transition
-trans people are fierce but softhearted
-trans people are strong af

This really stresses the importance of community. In many ways, when we take on transition, we unfortunately face a lot of loss and rejection because of ingrained societal transphobia.

That’s why this community is so important. We’re here for each other even when no one else is.
