If 100,000 Canadians could die versus one million, it doesn't change the fact that we should be practicing social distancing, being considerate of others in our immediate space, and vigilantly handwashing. Further, not all provinces have agreed on projection models. Get over it.
Other countries used projection models because they made the initial mistake of not taking Coronavirus seriously. UK and US being primary examples of getting it wrong at the outset. Use of models thereafter was a political tactic in those countries to allow leaders to save face.
While Canada could've prepared better and earlier, there was never a denial period like UK and US. We followed experts' warnings without needing to use giant, scary numbers. Perhaps scary numbers would increase compliance, but make that argument, not this shit about transparency.
