The deaths we're seeing now are, most likely, the result of infections contracted about three weeks ago.

Three weeks ago the schools were open. Cheltenham Festival was allowed to go ahead. Pubs and restaurants were open, and didn't have the financial support to be able to close.

The big pivot to 'blame the public' is nothing but an attempt to absolve the government of their own complacency, unpreparedness and botched messaging. That's it.
