3/ The average age is 60 and 73% of patients are men.
4/ Whites are somewhat under-represented and blacks are significantly over-represented (compared to local population).
5/ People of 'healthy weight' are somewhat under-represented. Morbidly obese people are heavily over-represented.
6/ Half the patients survive. Younger people, thinner people and women are more likely to recover. Age is the biggest factor.
