NUANCE DURING CORONA VIRUS
đź’– You can both moan about boredom and understand that there are people dying outside
đź’– You can be sick of the people you are isolating with whilst being grateful that you are surrounded by people you love
đź’– You can both complain about being stuck inside the house whilst being so grateful for the essential workers who are braving it out there
💖 You can be lonely isolating alone whilst also being grateful you don’t have to put up with other people’s shit
💖 You can be relieved if Corona Virus hasn’t taken anyone you know personally whilst also acknowledging that other humans are grieving
đź’– You can be angry at the people not following the rules whilst also understanding that it is not your right to judge others
đź’– You are allowed to have a good day even though the world is in a lot of pain today
đź’– You can be worried about your family across the world whilst also be happy isolating alone
đź’– You can hold onto hope that this will give us a perspective check whilst realising this is not a fun personal development exercise
💖You can want to be productive whilst also being kind to yourself if it doesn’t happen today
đź’– You can want space from your partner and kids whilst also wanting them to know they are loved more often than ever
💖 You can resent the fact you are stuck in the house whilst realising there are people who won’t have a house where they are safe
đź’– If you are an essential worker, you can both be scared for your own safety and turn up to work
đź’– You are allowed to have days where you laugh rather than cry and you are allowed to have days where you do both.
You are allowed to feel however you want to feel.
Feelings don’t have to make sense.
You are allowed to have two contradicting emotions.
Create space for them both.
