I don’t know who needs to hear this but my cat Henry is judging all of you. Wanna know his story? 5 years ago i had posted on FB that if I ever got another pet, it would only be a black cat. Someone sent me a link to a shelter cat who was gorgeous... but when we met he hated me.

I had a newborn and a dog. I wanted so bad to bring him home but I brought the kid and the dog into the meeting cage and the cat was stressed out and scratching and miserable. So we left...

As we were leaving someone in the shelter was saying “This handsome boy doesn’t react to anything. He’s been here for almost 2 yrs now.” Because he was fat and black and old (5 yrs at least) they thought no one would take him.

We took him. We’ve moved him into 2 difference states & 3 different homes and brought another baby into his life. And all he ever does is snuggle with us and poop in the kitchen when he is mad.
WHO HASNT POOPED IN A KITCHEN WHEN THEYRE MAD??

Moral of the story: know what you can handle when you adopt. Bring your worst selves to meet an animal because that’s what an animal will have to deal with everyday. Henry legit hates us but puts up with us. 5 yrs later that’s all we ask.
