What's your favorite example of an actor who was famous for one role, but excelled in some other, lesser known, role?

e.g. Mark Hamill as the Joker/Trickster
Jonathan Frakes as Xanatos

My favorite is George Takei, who rocked out as the villain Warlord Shank in Space Cases.
