Since my retelling of Harry Potter, it's been requested that I tell the story of Sex and the City, another show I have never seen.
Sex and the City is the story of four friends in New York. There is the main character, who's name I dont know so I will call her Fashion Lady on account of her trendsetting styles and also because I believe she is a fashion blogger.
Her friend Miranda is wild and loads of fun. Her red head friend is wise. And her brunette friend has a big heart.
It's basically the Brothers Karamazov scheme where each friend represents the three ways of being.

Miranda = Dmitri = sensuality
Red Head = Ivan = intellectual
Brunette = Alyosha = Spiritual Goodness
Fashion Lady is a mix of all three and is the narrator. The show usually starts with a star trek like voice over by her cause she is the captain of this ship.
Fashion Lady dates all the different types of guy, but her favorite is Mr. Big, a rich playboy of the George Clooney variety (i.e. good looking in the way that actors used to be in the 50s, older, big smile, big but not lean, clean cut, confident).
Her friends and her live in apartments they could never afford in real life NY
They meet often to talk about life. Miranda, the fun one, is essential here. She's the one that always says or does the thing nobody else is brave enough to, particularly the brunette one who is scared, or the red head one who to contemplative.
It's a happy story for the most part. Nothing truly terrible ever happens. They never betray each other despite multiple temptations to do so, and love each other through it all.
Fun Miranda is either an aerobics instructor or possibly a spanish teacher. She loves her job. And she eventually falls in love with a warm but reserved nerd of some sort, forming an adorable odd couple.
The red head is a college professor and very respected in her field after making a new discovery or break through. She eventually meets someone capable of hanging with her intellectually and finds happiness for the first time in her life.
The brunette is a doctor or nurse or social worker. More than the other three she wants to find a guy to fall in love with, but her dates are a long string of disappointments with all the types of losers there are, such as narcissists and finance guys and failed actors.
She usually is the saddest and most frustrated of the four because of this. But she grows the most out of the characters, becomes stronger and more assertive and less tolerant of bullshit.
Fashion Lady marries Mr. Big and has enormous success in the blogosphere.
Even though the show is a lot about dating, the main point of the show is that these four characters really only got to happiness because of their friendship with each other.
