I made a list of #COVID-19 diagnostic tests that use #CRISPR-Cas technology and summarized the pre-prints! Also includes papers/articles that propose CRISPR-Cas based COVID-19 treatments. I might have missed some but here's the thread..

In this pre-print, using a Cas13 based strategy, they screened several functional crRNAs that can target and effectively degrade SARS-CoV-2 and H1N1 sequences in human lung epithelial cells.

In this pre-print, they demonstrate rapid detection of #SARSCoV2 and HIV using a one-pot recipe containing all the components for nucleic acid amplification and CRISPR detection. Test time ~40min(or upto 90min)

Fastest test so far. In this protocol, they use a Cas12a based strategy to perform iso-thermal amplification of nucleic acids followed by a Cas12a mediated fluorescence detection and a lateral flow readout. Testing time ~32min

In this pre-print, they used the ssDNA cleavage activity of Cas12a to detect SARS-CoV-2 using methods similar the earlier pre-prints. The major difference was the use of saliva samples to perform the tests. Testing time ~90min

This article proposes the use of a CRISPR/Cas13d system that can be delivered specifically to the lungs of COVID-19 infected patients using an adeno-associated virus(AAV) to treat the infection.
