but anyway i would like to clarify my actual opinion of the bandori dub now that i& #39;ve gotten the first impressions out of the way
do i think any of the voice actors are BAD voice actors? no, i said that myself many times. do i think they could& #39;ve done better with casting? of course, but sometimes casting is REALLY HARD and you just have to make do with what you get.
like i said, i understand that a lot of the time it is difficult to match the energy and tonal pitches etc of a different language, especially when you have to have lip sync. that definitely makes things such as translation harder.
what i& #39;m dismayed by is that some of the translation choices were just... Plain Bad Choices, that had way better alternatives that could& #39;ve worked.
at the end of the day, i& #39;m disappointed by the dub yes, but at the same time i don& #39;t hold a gripe with the voice acting. i& #39;m more disappointed by translation choices.
i& #39;m sure all the voice actors casted could probably hold their own and can be great voice actors, i think bandori was just something that was a bit more difficult to nail perfectly because some of the characters just have this unique energy to them
