I've seen many science-aware people going on about how masks are useless in spread of #COVID19 without really thinking about what the emerging evidence is. I've been wearing a #mask to grocery store for weeks now because positive asymptomatic and pre-symptomatic people can spread
Especially in places where spatial distancing is difficult, e.g. grocery stores. So glad @CDCgov released this face cloth recommendation. Here is the guideline https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/cloth-face-cover.html #maskup
"The cloth face coverings recommended are not surgical masks or N-95 respirators. Those are critical supplies that must continue to be reserved for healthcare workers and other medical first responders, as recommended by current CDC guidance."
