A story from 1999. I was working for a company that was hosting an event in February. For us, it was a fairly prominent event that involved a few celebrities taking part. One of them was Alyson Hannigan. As a huge Buffy the Vampire fan, I announced to all my friends at work... 1/

...that my entire focus for that weekend was going to be get some quality time with Willow! I talked about it so much it became a running joke in the office among my circle of friends. Anyway, upon arriving at the hotel to prep, I saw some of our team in our meal room and... 2/

...joked to everyone: "Anyone see Alyson Hannigan yet? No? Ok! Well, let me know if you do!" They all rolled their eyes at me as I left that banquet space and headed back to the lobby. As I rounded a corner, not 30 seconds later – BAM! There was Alyson Hannigan in the lobby. 3/

I approached her very professionally (despite one minute prior acting like a crazy fanboy among my co-workers) and introduced myself, and asked her if she wanted to meet some of our high-profile team members. She was great, of course. Said, yes. And I peacocked my way back... 4/

...into the meal room about 60 seconds later (very professionally) and everyone looked at me with their mouths open like, "JFC, this guy." The next morning, I was in the lobby talking to a co-worker that I didn't really like. The kind of guy that likes to one-up everyone in... 5/

...conversations. So we're talking and Alyson walks up & says, "Hi." (Of course, I'm dying inside, but being super cool & professional.) I can't remember what led to this exchange, but something came up and I joked about how "she should just conjure something up with a spell." 6/

Well, Mr. One-up Co-worker jumps in with the smarmiest take ever. "Uh, duh. Wrong show, Jim. That's 'Charmed.'" I've never been happier in my life. Just so awesome. Alyson and I exchanged knowing looks, and I said, "Uh, no, Brad. Right show. She's a witch now. Come on, man." 7/

And she said, "Yep. It's true. I'm a witch now." That would have been the best moment of the story, except that about a month later, at another public event we were putting on, I was walking the main floor (where no public was allowed) and I heard a bunch of people... 8/

...yelling my name from the crowd. Because this event was in my hometown, where I hadn't lived in a few years, I was thinking it was probably some annoying old friends that I didn't have time for. So I ignored them. But they kept yelling. I finally turned around and it was... 9/

......Alyson Hannigan and a bunch of folks from the Buffy crew and she had them hollering at me to get my attention. I, of course, immediately went straight over and hung out there for a few and chatted them all up. It was awesome. Great memory! She was very cool. /end
