So I have a 3-month supply of Singulair Rx'd to me cuz I have pollutant and activity-triggered mild asthma. But I haven't been taking it because "I don't need it right now". It just sort of clicked for me that I'm the one in the household with the highest potential viral load. /
My mom, who has an MA in chemistry and studied diseases, had to explain to me what a viral load is. (Google it). I'm the one who is doing the grocery shopping, so theoretically I'm the one who's been exposed to COVID-19 many more times than my parents (ages 65 and 70). /
So yeah moral of this short story, I'm going to be taking Singulair daily now in the hopes it will, if necessary, help me from needing to be put on a ventilator if COVID-19 takes hold.
