Before anything , I’m not exactly an expert or anything. I’m merely expressing things I found helpful for me.
Also ,my skin type is acne prone oily

First tip that I swear by is *not* washing your face with a cleanser in the morning. Instead, wipe your face with cotton pad and rose water. I won’t get all technical but your face regenerates itself all night and the oils it produces is beneficial. (1)
Now, when you wake up and wash with a cleanser, you remove all of those oils from inside of the pores and your face does not benefit from them. Additionally, water in Egypt isn’t exactly pure so kinda avoid constant contact with it unless necessary. (2)
Favourite cleansers:
La roche posay effaclar : perfect for oily skin but dries it a bit too much during winter
Teen derm isis pharma: worked out for me for the longest time but then it’s effect kinda faded idk (1)

Garnier pure active 3in1 charcoal: VISIBLY decreased my black heads from the first time. It can be used a scrub also so I don’t use it more than two times a week
Garnier pure active 3in1 : leaves my face feeling very fresh and clean but again the scrub thing (2)

Toner is a very important part of your routine please do not skip it. It helps in removing any residual dirt and helps in tightening your pores after cleansing.
Favorite toners:
Body shop tea tree toner: lives up to its hype. Leaves skin feeling refreshed and clean.
Clinique exfoliant toner: Absolute favourite. Lightly exfoliates. Helps in drying out pimples.
The ordinary glycolic acid: still testing it but so far it does the job

For the longest time, I thought I didn’t need moisturizers because I had oily skin. And man, what an idiot I was. Oily skin products tend to be very drying(duh) so moisturizing is very important.
Favourite moisturizers:
Clinique moisture surge: two pumps of it and my skin feels very hydrated and soft
Floxia moisturizing gel: I bought reluctantly a while back but man it is great. Large tube so stays for long time
Neutrogena hydroboost gel: love it but works better for day

I have no idea who spread the lie that coconut oil is great for the skin. DO NOT use coconut oil on your skin please. It’s a very heavy oil that will clog your pores and create even more issues
If you want to use an oil for your skin , I’d recommend jojoba oil mixed with vitamin E. Two drops on your fingers and lightly dab them all over. Works great for oily skin as it doesn’t get really greasy and is absorbed quickly
Do not follow the hype.
See what works best with your skin and always test patch first.
Lately, vitamin c products and serums were very hyped so I bought a serum to try it.
I suffered from a major allergic reaction on my face and still have scars from it.

Rose water is your bestfriend. That’s it. That’s the tweet.
To get maximum results out of your masks, wash your face with warm water and lightly scrub then apply your mask.
I don’t know who needs to hear this but removing your makeup with micellar water or makeup wipes is not enough. You have to wash your face.
Nuxe rêve de miel makeup removing gel is the best but any cleanser would work

Eye creams are not a must in your routine. Just make sure that your under eye area is well hydrated .However I do use one as a preventive method.
I use the DCL high scope potency eye cream.
Sorry to disappoint @sadbrainfart

I don’t even need to stress on sunscreen. It. Is. Important. Thank you.
La roche posay is perfect for oily skin as it does not get greasy at all.
I also used the bioderma but it wasn’t my favorite as it did get hella greasy.

If possible, facials by a professional will go miles.
My skin, for example, has lots of white heads that grows beneath the skin so they need regular extractions. Also, your esthetician will guide tell you what would work best for your skin

I’m still figuring my way around spot treatments and finding what works best for me but so far I’m loving aknemycin solution and origins super spot remover. And of course the infamous fucicort
I know how cliche it sounds but cutting dairy and working out really do go the extra mile for your skin. You’ll notice the difference almost immediately
