The Christians still gathering for church are not doing so because they are "attached to their buildings". For the most part these are evangelicals far less attached to their buildings and more set up for online worship than mainline Christians are.

They are gathering not because they refuse to be parted from their buildings. They are gathering because they refuse to be dictated to by science (which they disdain) and secular authority ("the world" - which they see as the enemy).

They are gathering to show the strength of their faith and the might of their God - forgetting that the primary commandment is loving God by loving neighbour and that putting God to the test was one of the temptations the devil tried on Jesus.
