Currently, CDC is reporting official totals weekly.

Sites like Worldometer, while handy and impressive, are aggregating reports from news sites, press releases, and other data.

The actual death counts, along with critical info like comorbities and age, are exclusive to CDC.
Here& #39;s the thing - most people follow (and repeat) the blue checks and big accounts on an assumption that A) the person has a big following for a good reason, and B) they usually have some inside edge.
