I did email IMHE yesterday regarding updating their model:

"Thank you for your work on the COVID-19 planning tool.

I appreciate that, as a country, we are going through an extraordinary time and that our health professionals

and government officials are utilizing your data to make decisions that affect millions of Americans each day.

Since Americans are staying home, ceasing business operations and social distancing it is imperative that the model shows updated numbers by state so that we can assess how well we are doing as a state.

Question: Why is your model not showing actual hospitalization numbers updated by state?

Since the governors are largely managing stay at home orders and the point of the model is to assess hospital resources, I find it concerning that that the incorporation of actual hospitalization numbers are not updated by state.

Citizens are being asked to make great sacrifices; it is imperative that the scientists who seemingly have our fate in their hands, show their work.

Please let me know when this will be modified so that the actual hospitalizations are adjusted and can be accessed by state."

Sure would be nice if a reporter was doing this......
