Ayo, I get we don’t like Toosie Slide because it’s crystal clear that song exists only for the hook, but to call it low-effort is kinda dishonest.

Everyone agreed this song was gonna go crazy numbers-wise and that’s something I’ve never seen happen before. We all instantly knew the song was going to stick, and that’s not easy to do AT ALL.

Labels have spent millions trying to make a song like this. Flo Rida’s ENTIRE career has been trying to make a song like this, it’s deceptively hard to make songs THIS catchy.

Is it a “bad” song? Possibly, and very likely so. But it’s not lazy in the slightest and if it was this easy to successfully pander, Silento would still be around now.
