I try really hard not to use ableist terms, but sometimes my brain will literally refuse to come up with another word. But, I never use words like dumb, stupid, idi*t, or m*ron as labels for people. I do sometimes use dumbass.

Why? Because being smart doesn't make you better.
And I really dislike the certainty with which people throw out terms like dementia, especially since they are almost certainly wrong about what they are seeing.
Anyway, smart people can have bad ideas. People who aren't psychometrically smart can have good ideas (and often do! Listen to them!). Stumbling over words is common and isn't a sign of anything. You're just being a bigot.
I'm still doing fine on cognitive tests and yet I have times when I can't form a sentence. It's not dementia, lol.
I'd make a better president than Mark Zuckerberg who probably never has word finding problems but also can't think of human lives as valuable. So stop being a fucking bigot.
Low IQ people aren't the bad guys in any story anyone is living right now. Low empathy people are and isn't it weird that we don't test kids for that in school? 🤔
Also random other bit of info, Autistic people often have tons of empathy, they just can't learn social cues easily. But also you can do a lot of good things without good reading of social cues.
IQ tests were invented by white people to categorize people by cognitive skills white people decides were important.

Then white people started specifically focusing their kids on those cognitive skills to "raise their IQ"
