There will come a time, when this is behind us, that companies, governments, and individual’s behaviour and ethics, or lack thereof, will be remembered. I predict a significant reshuffle of who has the public’s trust at the end of this. Cont.
Commercial and residential landlords who do not pass on mortgage freeze savings to tenants. Airlines who don’t allow staff to take sick leave while on forced annual leave. Individuals who hoard toilet paper and other critical supplies, such as PPE. Cont.
Citizens and foreign visitors who flout social distancing and lockdown rules because “it won’t affect them personally”. People and companies who fraudently apply for financial relief. Cont.
People who call for ending the lockdown early so they can preference increased profitability over saving lives. Governments and leaders who did not take this pandemic seriously soon enough and cost lives and livelihoods. There will be a reckoning and it won’t be forgotten
