I think the thing I struggle the most with our current situation is this - I know #COVID19 is real, I know it is incredibly serious, I know millions are infected and thousands have sadly lost their lives. I know governments worldwide are scrambling to protect their citizens.
I know many more people will loose their lives in the coming days / weeks / months. I know objectively it's a very scary time. I know our frontline health care professionals are scared for themselves, their loved ones and their patients.
Yet I have never lived through anything of this magnitude before - many of us have not. Because of this I have no grounding - no lived or taught experience. Life is very surreal as of late. It's like I'm watching a suspension horror film. Its not happening in reality
But it is happening.
It is serious.
People are dieing.
I think I will be incredibly lucky to get through the next few months with those I hold dear to me remaining with me. I think anyone who can get through this without knowing loss will be incredibly lucky.
So please... please... I implore you to heed the government's words seriously - #StayHomeSaveLives
