all the people subtweeting reporters asking Qs they don’t like at the daily pressers should consider:
- it’s the only chance for any answers from the govt as basically no written qs are getting thru
- broadcast often need Qs asked again, and you often get diff answers
- most people are representing an outlet with tens or hundreds of reporters so have questions from a trillion angles; some of which yes, they already know the govt’s position on
- when questions get asked over and over it’s usually because there’s ambiguity, it’s our job to destroy ambiguity
- none of the people questioned are just neutral experts. the govt response is inherently fraught with *~politics~* and deserves probing even if it’s right
just did a quick count since people are still mad about this bike thing. at yesterday’s press conference there were ~40 questions and maybe 3 were about the exercising restrictions.
