Yesterday was my last day in the newsroom. I’m working from home from now. But I thought it would be good to show you this story from work before I left. This doughnut has been doing an AMAZING job of physical distancing in our fridge at the office. For over 1.5 years!
It’s not my food storage container, so I’ve never thought much of it. Until curiosity got the better of me...
What I found was this series of notes someone has been writing, presumably on the doughnut’s behalf, to its negligent owner.
I’m showing you them in chronological order.
This note from Valentine’s Day 2018. (Apologies for the blury shot)
Canada Day 2018...
There it’s sat all alone as the months fly by. Still neglected.
We’re half way through 2019 and it’s owner hasn’t noticed.
There’s more.
Which brings us to this hopeful note just weeks ago. So if you’re tired of being stuck at home. And you are feeling neglected by the world. Think of this doughnut in our work fridge. It can always be worse.
