my mom writes too but she respects that I have stuff I don't want to show her and vice versa. writing is a deeply personal process, being able to share your stuff w/ your parents is a privilege not everyone is afforded, esp when we're all aware how lgbtphobic some of them can be.

I have my own thoughts on "acceptable" fiction and censorship which might not align with op of this thread but my main question is...what makes you think that bigoted parents will be any more accepting of gay people than they are of incest lmao... y'all privileged as hell.
