Why do many "Calvinistic" American evangelicals expect NT Wright sound like a theologian repeating dogmatic aphorisms from their non-Anglican tribe or their non-Anglican denomination? Reading NT Wright in terms of his Anglicanism is a lot less stressful (
) and far more charitable. I'm not even sure most of his critics could articulate the differences between Anglican, Presbyterian, and Baptist distinctions of *every* doctrine in systematic theology.

Do you who can (doctrine by doctrine)? The Lutherans. Lutherans also don't expect non-Lutherans to sound like Lutherans.
