So if someone sees that nothing has changed for them, and the Democratic candidate is offering a “return to normal,” why would they vote for that person? Sure, it’s selfish, but most people vote for their interests first, another sad fact we have to face...(3/?)
Bernie offered something better, and people liked the thought of this. Biden offers a return to the Obama years, and that’s not much different for the average working person. There’s no excitement for that, and polls show this...(4/?)
So many voters will look at their life now vs 4 years ago, and if it isn’t better or worse, they realistically have no reason to vote for someone who says they aren’t going to make things better or worse, they’ll stick with what’s in office now...(5/?)
I do not support Trump or his policies in any way. They are damaging and very obviously racist. But I also understand why people will vote for him if the alternative is a candidate with no new ideas to improve our collective lives.
