Warning: I'm jumping into some Philadelphia sports nostalgia. After giving it some thought, here are the 10 moments in my lifetime that elicited the most visceral, unbridled joy. Most of these won't be surprises, but I hope you enjoy the walk down memory lane.
10. October 2, 2008 - Shane Victorino's grand slam off CC Sabathia. That was the first moment in those playoffs that things felt a little magical.
9. May 14, 2010 - Simon Gagne completes the 0-3 to 4-3 comeback. Just look at the faces of the Bruins fans.
8. October 6, 2010 - Roy Halladay cements his legacy. To this day, I don't think people appreciate how difficult the final play was for Carlos Ruiz.
7. December 19, 2010 - DeSean Jackson walks it off in the Meadowlands. I was sitting in a parking lot listening to the radio with my dad, having gone out to find a suit for my first job. It would have been a sight to see had you walked by our car.
6. September 30, 2007 - Brett Myers sends the Phillies to the playoffs for the first time in 14 years. The Phillies were my first love. Seeing them get across that hurdle was unreal.
5. April 4, 2016 - Kris Jenkins with the ultimate dagger. My dad went to Nova and would bring me to games at The Pavilion when I was a kid. Jay Wright's teams were always very good before faltering in March. Not this time.
4. October 13, 2008 - Matt Stairs rips one into the night. What else can you say? Perhaps the greatest home run in Phillies history.
3. October 19, 2009 - J-Roll splits the gap and walks it off. This has to be the best radio call in Phillies history. Scott Franzke at his very best.
2. February 4, 2018 - Brandon Graham authors the most consequential play in Eagles history. Seeing Brady sitting on the turf will always be one of the best memories in my life. What an incredible moment.
1. October 29, 2008 - Brad Lidge on the mound, Harry K o the call. Perfection.
