I was playing an online word puzzle game and texted my dad to suggest that this might be a fun thing for us to do together.
He signed up and told me to find him under the username "FlipperFlipper".
So I did a search in the game and one username came up - "Flipper Flipper".

I clicked on "Flipper Flipper" and opened a game and made my first move. While waiting for him to respond, I clicked on the Messaging feature and type just the word "Dad?" and clicked Send.
No reply.

Meanwhile my Dad - under the name "FlipperFlipper" (no space, you see ) then found me and started a game with his opening move.
Then before I'd had a chance to make my responding move, he opened another game using a different first move.
Then moments later, another.

I whatsapped him to suggest maybe we should progress some of the games a bit before opening any more, and he agreed; the interface was not obvious and he hadn't meant to start new games.
Meanwhile a random American lady called Tipper started a game with me, which I accepted.

I went back to rapidly try to catch up with the other games with my dad.
While I was pondering my move on the third game, he opened a fourth game by mistake (it is, tbf, a genuinely terrible user interface for this kind of thing - human factors fans take note).

So now I'm playing four games against FlipperFlipper, one against Flipper Flipper, and someone called Tipper. I can't cope.
In short, I'm looking forward to going back to work tomorrow, where at least hopefully not everyone's names will rhyme.

And at some point I'm going to get a response from Flipper Flipper who will presumably want to explore why I might think he could be my father, too...
