We have an obesity and diabetes epidemic in our country. We have a fleet of aircraft carriers which are like floating petri dishes. Our people are not used to wearing masks and our medical supplies are manufactured overseas. This coronavirus may take down the American empire.

But it doesn’t have to be this way. We are the most innovative and adaptable people in the world. We invented mass produced cars, airplanes, and the polymerase chain reaction test we use for the coronavirus. We can get through this pandemic if we help each other and stay united.

The main thing we need to learn is that the health of all of our people, including the poor and the middle class, matter just as much as the health of the rich. For-profit healthcare is a sickness that truly reveals itself during a pandemic.

Universal healthcare is the cure.
