- unlike kpop, for cpop you really really REALLY need to succeed in the domestic market first. that’s why we push the fact that it is imperative to download weibo and qq music; wayv may want to go global and we WANT them to go global, but wayv are ALSO proud of their roots and+

- want to succeed in their domestic market. at this point in time, youtube views and spotify streams don’t help wayv in their domestic market, the market they are focusing on at this current moment. most cpop groups don’t even put their music videos on youtube, they put them on+

- qq, because china has sites like youtube and instagram blocked. that’s also why a lot of chinese artists don’t have big followings on instagram, but have HUGE followings on weibo. china doesn’t need those apps, they have apps they use (like qq and weibo) and cpop groups+

- use these apps to help succeed in their domestic market. wayvs streams on qq are more important than their youtube and spotify streams, and all of their mvs (i believe) on qq have less views/streams than on youtube and it’s frustrating, because again, cpop is not kpop, and +

- wayv is a cpop group. they need to succeed in their domestic market first, in the chinese market first, before they can go global. it truly isn’t about you not supporting them, or wanting to support ot21, as long as you support them the way they need! like how we download+

- idol champ(a korean app) and stream for melon to help nct as international fans! is it harder because it’s china and you have to get an apple id for china? yes, a little, but there are tutorials by weishennies to help you! but it’s the same thing; qq and melon arent +

- that different, they are important for their markets. that’s all we ask! it’s just frustrating to see big ot21 accs say “chinese fans should focus on qq” “we don’t have to download weibo” when, as international fans, we do the same for nct. that’s why a lot of weishennies+

- say ot21 stans don’t care about wayv. because you don’t care enough to listen to us, to people who know about cpop, to help wayv, someone you stan. but as long as you actually help there’s no problem (in my eyes at least) with ot21 or you believing in ot21!

i hope i didn’t sound too rude in this and it helps out the understanding of why we’re (or at least i, as i can’t speak for every weishennie) so upset!

also, this isn’t me saying qq IS melon or anything like that. i’m drawing a comparison—ifans DO stream on melon, and also the fact that nct have international platforms that help them, whereas wayv dont, so it’s important to have qq and weibo!
