President Trump’s call with sports league commissioners has wrapped up.
White House spokesman Judd Deere says the commissioners “thanked President Trump for his national leadership and for his interest in the sports industry.”

Citing sources, ESPN reports Trump told call participants NFL season should start on time in Sept.
Trump said he hopes to have fans in stadiums and arenas by Aug. and raised idea of leagues lobbying for tax credits that used to exist for fans.
Trump in media briefing mentions his conference call with sports leagues:
"They want to get back. They gotta get back. They can’t do this. Their sports weren’t designed for it. The whole concept of our nation wasn’t designed for it."
